In Cactusoft Construction, site planning helps dispatchers plan sites and schedule workers in advance. Also, it is possible to monitor worksites using their condition. The site planning interface is divided into three main sections:

The navigation menu is located at the top of the window. You can navigate between weeks. Here are the functions you can access:

The date

This function displays a calendar to facilitate navigation between different weeks, months and years.

The research

The search helps find worksites, regardless of their date.

The dashboard

The purpose of this function is to consult statistics related to the schedule.

Shortcuts

You can view a quick reference of available keyboard shortcuts.

History

You can view the history of all changes made to the schedule.

The sequences

This function gives the possibility of creating new worksite sequences for a project.

Settings

The parameters contain the activities, THE roles and external recipients.

Timetable

The timetable is located in the center of the window and displays the worksites planned in the schedule, one column per day. Here is the information in the timetable:

The columns

The schedule is represented in columns and each represents a date.

The boxes

The timetable divides each column into boxes and these can receive a site. Please note, the “height” of a box is not an indicator of construction time! You can determine that they will be the sites “at the top of the schedule” and that they will be “towards the bottom of the schedule”.

The worksites

When a worksite is on the schedule, it appears in a box in the timetable. For more information, go to Worksite.

The header

The header of each column indicates the date and sometimes additional information. Each header is clickable and reveals a menu of options.

The bottom of the page

Each column presents a footer with summary statistics for the day.

Side menu

The side menu is located on the left of the window. It is possible to configure the options and consult the contextual information at the work sites of the schedule. The side menu can be hidden or shown easily using the menu icon, in the upper left corner of the screen. In this menu, we find the following sections:

The legend

The legend is a brief reminder of the different possible states for the sites on the schedule, with the corresponding color code. For more information, go to the page Condition of a worksite.

View options

A list of options helps adjust the schedule visual to your preferences.

Filters

A list of options allows you to filter the worksites displayed on the schedule.

Status notes

The information will be displayed in this section if it is available in relation to the status of the worksites.

Things to do

A list is displayed to check if the scheduled sites are ready.
